Since I was in elementary school, my parents taught me to be an active student in every positive activity. I used to be a member of Girl Scout, Flag Hoister Formation, Drama Theater, and English Study Club. I was still actively participated until High School. Started from here, I gained a lot of experiences during involved in many kinds programs. There are some achievements that I received when I was in High School such as Best Supporting Actress of Youth Drama Festival in Madiun, Best Team in East Java Crosscountry Competition, and Participant of High School English Debate Competition in Madiun.
In college life, I was excited to join an organization which has a mission to expand my knowledge of broad agriculture like my study field. This is the reason why I chose International Association of students in Agriculture and related Sciences (IAAS). First year in IAAS, I was selected as Treasurer of Science and Technology Department. A year after, the committee believed on me as Head of Science and Technology Department. During my participation in IAAS, I learned to make good teamwork with other people from any various backgrounds.
Through IAAS, I acquired big chance to attend International Event such as Paper Presenter in the 1st International Agricultural Student Symposium which organized by University of Putra Malaysia. It was great opportunity when I was selected as Indonesian Delegations of the 52nd IAAS World Congress in Mexico who presented our agricultural activities in Indonesia. I was selected as representative participant of International Youth Conference 2009 in Banten and West Java which organized by UNESCO collaborated with Ministry of Sport and Youth Affair, Indonesia. I met many young people who represented their organization and build new good networking.
A lot of experiences that I gained from organizational event both of local and international level made my mind open widely to respect other people which come from any various background. I have high motivation to improve my skill. Hopefully I can learn more to give voluntary contribution for society.
Fundamentally, every human is a leader of themselves. We play the role of leadership to decide the right choice for our life. In a social life, not all of the people can show up their leadership potential. Because the leader need to observe more about the community, therefore he/she able to accommodate and serve the best for the real pretension of its community.
This year, I was elected as Director of IAAS Local Committee Bogor Agricultural University. The main duties as Local Committee Director is not only organize the program together with other committee but also keep the coordination among some divisions in IAAS Local Committee but also strengthen the relationship between National Committee and Headquarter of IAAS World. During the first half year of committee period, some problems regarding with coordination occurred especially when we prepared the biggest annual event of IAAS named World Congress. Through good cooperation and management, I can solve the problems well.
Working with members of IAAS from any different background is the biggest challenge for me. A leader also plays role as the manager of the organization. Managing job desk according to the jurisdiction is the best solution for this problem. Justice in my term has two kinds of perspective, first for every member itself mean that the job desk appropriate with their capacity. Second, justice for other members means that there is no jealousy among them. Discussion is wise solution to solve every problem as necessary.
In the future, I need spirit of leadership to decide the right choice to realize my ideal. After finish bachelor degree, I have a plan to work in feed mill based on my study field. Continuing my study abroad for master degree is also my future dream. Hoping in 35 years old of my age, I shall build social enterprise to solve some social problems through principle of entrepreneurship. This rich country is waiting for the real action of youth to build up the brighter future.
